Welcome to U12 Girls Green LAX Team

Good afternoon all!  

By now, you've received your lacrosse team assignment and know that we are U12 Girls Green.  At this point, we are still in pre-season but there is much happening behind the scenes to prepare for an exciting 2020 spring season.  Please take a few minutes to review these early notes and feel free to reach out directly with any questions.

QUICK NOTES:

1. Practices: Coach Ann and Coach Erin are excited to your work with our daughters and are anticipating a great season!  We will continue weekly practices on Tuesday evenings 5-7pm at Lakevue until mid-March when we will add some outdoor practices at Pine Park (anticipating Monday's from 5:45-7:45pm). 

2. Communicaton: As team manager, I'm planning to send weekly updates on Sunday's for the week ahead. These updates will be sent via email from the PRLAX.com website as a "bulletin" which will allow for you to reference current and past bulletins if needed.  Additonally, I'll be setting up a team text chain for those times that we need to quickly get in touch for weather related concerns.  Should you have any phone/email updates - please log in to the PRLAX.com site and update your personal settings. 

3. Games/Tournaments: The girls game schedule is being finalized, and will be shared upon receipt.  Several tournaments are in motion, you should have already received the March 29, Spring Fling RSVP request, and we're excited to see a great turnout for this first tournament opportunity.  Tournament details/times will be shared upon receipt.

 

PRLAX ORGANIZATIONAL NOTES & IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES:

Dinner Out? ABSOLUTELY!

We all need a break from cooking so please mark Wednesday, March 11th, 5:00-8:00 pm on your calendar for our first fundraising dinner at The Clubhouse (5301 Ranalli Drive, Gibsonia)! Not only will we be able to enjoy great food, but this lacrosse dinner will also include uniform distribution, ordered apparel distribution, registrations for fundraiser (more info in the next week) & Trivia Night social event. Please share the flyer on social media & give to neighbors in an effort to generate greater revenue; screen shot, download or print! The team who has the greatest attendance at the dinner, their players will be able to select an item from the concession stand in appreciation! Any questions? Contact   .

FUNDRAISING

Our major fundraising event will NOT have any baskets, requests for donations to baskets, nor attendance at any event. We are hoping for 100% participation in that the donation is nominal ($35/entry), and we really believe the KIDS & parents will have a great deal of fun during the event. Intrigued? We hope so! One student/player will win a $200 Visa gift card. One parent will win a registration refund ($325 value). More information to follow in the next couple of weeks.

SOCIAL EVENT

Mark April 25th on your calendar! Is it already marked for Prom? That's okay, because after the pictures are taken and the kids leave for their big dance, come join us at Pine Community Center for a night full of laughter, challenges and beverages! TRIVIA NIGHT (7:30-10:30) will include beer/soda/water and a bottle pull table ($20/bottle) which will include wine & alcohol of various price points for you to enjoy there, or bring home for later consumption. Bottles will range up to $100 in value...not just Cupcake or Pinnacle my friends ;)! Rally a team of 4 together...the neighbor who knows music, your sister the engineer, your friend the doctor, and maybe your tennis partner who is all about sports...OR just great friends who enjoy each other's company...claim a team name (Whiskeypedia, Les Quizerables, etc.), fill out the registration form with the entry fee ($30/person, $120/team), and potentially win the top prize at the end of the evening (in addition to bragging rights)! Capacity is 35 teams.
