UPDATE: Pictures are no longer the week of April 3rd. 

I don't have dates, but will share as soon as I know more.  Sorry for the back and forth, but when they were scheduled for next week, I wanted to make sure to get info out ASAP since it was only a couple of days away.  I guess something came up with the photographer and now the dates have to be moved.  Stay tuned for new information...

Yearbook Team Picture

Don’t forget!  The team picture for the MS yearbook will happen at the very start of practice on Tuesday the 28th.  Please wear your uniform jersey and don’t be late!

 

Uniforms

I have 3 left to hand out…I will be at Tuesday’s practice around 7:45PM.  Please bring 2 checks ($25 and $200 made payable to PRYL).  If you have issues concerning uniforms, please contact our Uniforms Manager directly. Danielle Rainey – 330-720-1819.     

 

Concessions Volunteering Update

·         Concession signups will be via SignUp.com. Below is the sign-up link

·         All Concessions will be held at the Rams Cage located at the High School. The concessions building is located above the turf field across from Middle School and close to the baseball field.

·         There will be 4 concession times allotted per game- 3 people in concession stand, 1 person in bleachers selling drinks.

·         There will be NO Concessions at Pine Park at this time.

·         Concessions Contact- Angie Pickels- 412-327-5354

 

Field Duty Descriptions

·         Table set up and game scorekeeper

§  Grab table from storage and set up on side of field in middle.  Keep accurate score throughout the game.

·         Clock & Horn/Tear Down Table

§  Stopping and starting the timer each time with the referee blows his whistle unless it is a running clock game in which the referee and or coach instructs.  The clock keeper should discuss details with the referee prior to the game start on how many minutes in a quarter, 8,10 or 12 minutes and when the referee wants to be notified on time remaining, etc. Electronic game clock/horn will be used.  You will be shown prior to season start.  You will then be able to show your parent volunteers how to use them.

§  Tear down and put back table in storage if your team is the last game of the day. 

·         Penalty tracker and setting up the extra (handful) of balls around the perimeter of field for game play.

§  Boys 14U and 12U.  Penalty timer is to keep the time on the penalty box sidelines using a clock timer/stop watch and advise the player when he can return to the field.  The referee will determine the penalty time and type of penalty, personal or technical.  The player will stay in the penalty box on one knee facing the field ready for his release.  At 15 seconds remaining on the penalty, the timer will announce to the player to “be ready” and at 10 seconds count down out loud through 1 second and then announce “release” for the player to return to the field.  Timer will note the player number, penalty time and type of penalty on the penalty form placed on the game table to keep track. 

·         Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your concession or field duty volunteer assignment.

 

PRYL Team/Individual Photos

PRYL Team Photos will be taken by Photography 144.  Photos will be taken on Monday, April 3 and Tuesday, April 4th.  Stay tuned for additional details.

Team Picture UPDATE!

Good News!!!  We were able to get an extension on the team photo due date.  So...since Saturday is looking like a lot of rain and several kids are missing from Saturday's practice anyway, we will take the picture before Tuesday's practice.  Please plan to arrive a few minutes earlier than normal for Tuesday so that the kids can be ready to take a picture right at the start of practice.

Update for Saturday - IMPORTANT!

Good Morning 14B White!

The middle school yearbook team has asked if we could provide a team picture for this year's yearbook.  Of course they need it on MONDAY!!  So, we will plan to take a team picture before practice on Saturday.  Please bring your uniform jersey.  For those that still need their uniforms, I will be at the field by 1:30 PM.

Reminder - bring 2 checks made payable to PRYL ($25 for concessions - to be cased; $200 for volunteering & pinney deposit) to get your uniform.  You only need one check of each PER FAMILY so if you have another player (girls or boys) and already made your payments to that team, just let me know at pick-up. 

If practice is rained out....please show up at 1:45PM for the picture anyway.  We'll try to make it as fast as possible!

Assistant Coach volunteering update

Team 14B White

The volunteering requirements for all coaches has been clarified.  Assistant coaches, in addition to head coaches, board members, and sponsors are exempt from volunteering for field or concessions duties.  Of course all help is welcome and I'll never turn down an offer.  Also, if you have older teens that want to help on the field or in concessions, that's also an option. If you are a family member of one of the exempt members and have already signed up for a field spot, feel free to cancel it in the sign-up genius form.

Uniform distribution

Hello 14B White

Danielle Rainey has graciously offered to hand out uniforms at the start of practice on Thursday, March 23rd.  She and either Tim or I will be there from 7:45-8:15PM. To receive your uniform, you need to bring:

1. $25 check for concessions donation (will be cashed)

2. $200 check for pinney and volunteering deposit

I will also make sure to have pinneys available for anyone who didn't get one this season.  If you can't do the above uniform pick up, depending on how many are left, I'll either schedule another date or just coordinate individual drop offs.

This week's update

Good Morning 14B White,

A few updates for this week....

 

1. This week's practices are 8-9PM on 3/21 and 3/23 at Lakevue.

2. As an update to my previous post on volunteer requirements, each family will need to sign up for 2 volunteer spots - 2 field spots, 2 concessions spots, or 1 of each.  There will be a league-wide concessions sign-up sent out by the concessions team.  Also, the deposit for completing volunteering and returning pinneys is now $200.  If you did not get a pinney, please let me know. 

3. I have updated GameChanger with the remainder of the Lakevue practices (3/21, 3/23, 3/28. 3/30, 4/4, 4/6).  I don't have confirmation yet buy my assumption for the first week of April is that practice days and location will be weather dependent so please keep an eye out for updates.  

4. A home game vs. Chartiers Valley has been added on 5/6.  I have added this game in GameChanger and I have added it to the Field Duty Sign-up Genius.

Volunteer Requirements Updates

Good Morning 14B White,

A few updates on volunteering and similar.  At uniform handout, you will need to provide 2 checks.  Checks should be made payable to Pine Richland Youth Lacrosse.

1.      $25 for concession stand donations (this one will be cashed!)

2.      $200 deposit for pinney return, field duties and concession stand staffing commitment.  This will only be cashed if any of the aforementioned items are not completed.

Concession stand sign-ups will come from the concessions stand team so stay tuned for more information on that. 

For field duties, 3 people will be needed for each home game.  There are 7 home games so a total of 21 spots will be available.  At most, everyone (excluding head coach and board member families) will need to sign up for 1 spot.  In fact, there are likely more families than spots so as long as every spot is filled and everyone does their concession stand requirement, this commitment will be considered complete.  Below is an online sign-up sheet for the field duties (time keeper, table set up/scorekeeper, penalty tracker/pre-game field perimeter ball set up).
